Freediving Basics course
An ideal starting point for beginners with basic water experience.
The AIDA 2 freediving course is ideal for water-confident enthusiasts, such as snorkelers, hobby swimmers, scuba divers, and spearfishes. The certification process includes a theory exam and some basic performance requirements. The course is available at Wellfit Meydan, Deep Dive Dubai, or a private location*.

Good health (you will be required to complete a medical form);
Being able to swim 200m non-stop or 300m with mask, snorkel and fins;
Minimum age: 18 years old (or 16 with written consent from a parent or a guardian).

AIDA 2 pool
Disciplines:
Breath hold – static apnea (STA);
Diving with fins – dynamic apnea (DYNB);
Techniques:
Swimming with mask, snorkel, and fins;
Breathing and relaxation;
Safety and rescue techniques.
Additional skills:
Safety and rescue techniques;
Breathing and relaxation.
AIDA 2 full – follows the same itinerary as AIDA 2 pool, with the addition of:
Disciplines:
Deep diving with fins (CWTB).
Techniques:
Duck diving;
Equalization;
Diving along the line;
Bottom turn.
Additional skills:
Safety and rescue in deep water.

40 meters underwater swim with fins (DYNB);

75% score on a written theory exam;

Minimum 12-meter deep dive with fins (CWTB).
